First up the GOLDUP variety, sensationally sweet and available at ARIZE Fruit supply, regarded as an early season imperial variety that are expected to finish up next week. Imperial mandarins are coming through from the Gayndah region. After a very hot period followed by a significant amount of rain, this year’s season in the area is around 3 – 4 weeks ahead of where it would normally be. Imperial crops are down 20 – 30% on previous crop size however weather conditions have been favourable and quality expectations are good! It is expected the Imperial season will go through to late May early June from this area followed by supply from the more Southern growing regions. A consumer favourite and in high demand always, looking sensational!!!!
